Birka style seax.

Bog oak and horn handle. The horn is a piece of moose horn coronet from Arvidsjaur and the bok oak is from Gotska Sandön, a island in the Baltic Sea. Draw ring, brass rivets. Pattern welded blade in 60SGH/1060 from Kuźnia Berta. Total length 335 mm, blade length 200 mm.

The sheath is made from cuir bouilli treated full grain vegetable-tanned leather. Two point suspension with cast brass rings and strap mounts. Sheath mounts in brass, step shaped filings with tinned copper plate underlay. All brass rivets.

Viking fibula knife

Just finished up this small fibula knife for a special 9-year-old that saved up and ordered all by herself. Respect!

I tried to give her something to be proud of with some 5000 year old Irish bog oak handle with brass bolsters and draw ring. Deep red beeswax treated leather sheath with brass fittings. Step shaped filings with 830-silver underlay.

Viking knife for a very patient customer in Illinois!

Walnut handle with brass wire wrap and brass bolsters. Draw ring, brass rivets. Pattern welded blade in 60SGH/1060 from Kuźnia Berta. Total length 280 mm, blade length 150 mm.

Cuir bouilli full grain vegetable-tanned leather sheath. Simple cross hatch pattern. Two point suspension with cast brass rings and strap mounts. Sheath mounts in brass with incised pattern. All brass rivets.

Birka seax.

In the very last of 2016 I finished up this large Scandinavian seax, inspired by a knife from Birka (Bj581). Handle is curly birch with brass bolsters and draw ring.

Cuir bouilli leather sheath with brass mounts and brass rivets. Step shaped filings on top mount with tinned bronze underlay. Three point suspension like the original. Full flat grind knife blade in O2 from the very talented George Ezell.

Just finished this viking knife with bog oak and elk horn handle, brass bolsters and draw ring. Pattern welded blade in 15N20/1060. Birka style mounts with brass rivets.

Total length 320 mm, blade 160 mm. Brown leather sheath with brass mounts and brass rivets. Two point suspension.

Small women knife. Flame birch handle with brass bolsters and draw ring. Hot waxed leather sheath with brass mounts. Step shaped filing with tinned copper underlay, brass rivets. Blade length, 55 mm. Total length 130 mm.

Small women knife with hot waxed leather sheath with brass mounts. Step shaped filing with tinned copper underlay, brass rivets and bolsters. Fantastic pattern welded blade from the very talented George Ezell. The handle is a piece of 300 year old curly birch I've saved for a special project. The leather for the sheath is elk and vegetable-tanned by hand from a student at Bäckedals folkhögskola and later treated with hot beeswax.
